We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, each of whom possesses equally all the attributes of Deity and the characteristics of personality.
We believe that Jesus Christ is God’s Son. He was miraculously born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died to atone for the sins of human beings, was buried, bodily arose from the grave, ascended into heaven and will personally return to establish His kingdom on the earth.
ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe that the Holy Spirit, the third Person of the Godhead, convicts people of sin, regenerates, indwells, seals, and empowers believers for holy living.
ABOUT THE BIBLE
We believe the Bible is the Word of God. It was written by men, Divinely-inspired, with God as its author and salvation for its end. Every word is without error. It is accurate in all matters to which it speaks – spiritual, historical, and scientific. It is the supreme and final authority for faith and life.
ABOUT HUMAN BEINGS
We believe that human beings are the special creations of God, made in His image. They fell through the sin of the first man, Adam, and are all born with a sinful nature. All human beings are sinners, separated from God, in need of salvation.
Repentance is the condition through which the Holy Spirit leads a person to sincerely turn away, in both the mind and heart, from sin and self to God.
We believe salvation is the gift of God. It is received by expressing repentance toward God and faith in Jesus Christ. Every person who is saved is eternally secure in Jesus Christ and will spend eternity in heaven. Every person who is not saved will spend eternity in hell.
ABOUT THE CHURCH
We believe the church is a local body of baptized believers with the Lord Jesus Christ as the Head. The church exists to worship and serve God, encourage believers in their spiritual growth and share the good news of God’s forgiveness with all people.
Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The act is a symbol of our faith in a crucified, buried and risen Savior, and an act of obedience for the believer.
